Yesterday we did our first day trip in the area surrounding Galway. We took a bus that made stops at several interesting historical and otherwise beautiful spots. But the main event of the day was a visit to the Cliffs of Moher. The views were spectacular and it's definitely one of the most beautiful natural wonders we have ever seen. The pictures you see here don't do justice at all. We had an incredible weather day, but the winds were very strong on top of the cliffs.
They say that 10-12 people per year fall and die, sometimes due to rain or winds and being too close to the edge. Most of the people on the tour bus were from other countries. We met a French man on the bus who was cycling around Europe for his vacation. We asked him what his favorite city was and he humbly replied in his heavy French accent, "I am sorry to say this because I am French, but it is Paris." Needless to say, Paris is definitely on our list of places to visit while we are here!

Wow! Great pics! This was going to be my suggestion of the first place to visit, but I guess you can check it off the list. :)
